All Historical Society programs are held at the Elmendorph Inn, 7562 North Broadway  in Red Hook unless otherwise noted. Refreshments follow the programs.

2012 Calendar of Events

Sunday, January 22, 3:00 PM: "White Wings and Black Ice: 200 Years of Ice Boating on the Hudson" with Brian Reid  

Sunday, February 12, 3:00 PM. "Chocolate: Red Hook's Sweet Success" with Chris and Claudine Klose. An illustrated talk on the most delicious story in Red Hook's history; its chocolate factory.

Sunday, March 18, 3:00 PM: "Welcome to Red Hook: Historic Hostelries, B&B's and Boarding Houses" Beth Pagano, Grand Dutchess proprietor and EBHS president Claudine Klose will explore the history of Red Hook's hospitality industry. 

Sunday, April 15, 3:00 PM: "Wings Over Red Hook: Cole Palen's Aerodrome" Jim Hare recalls the early days of Red Hook's world-famous aviation landmark. A great preview for the July 1 Bicentennial Family Day at the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome.
